Located in Sunset Avenue in Bukit Timah,* the Woo House was completed in 1993, the same year as Ngee Ann City. Sitting on an elevated ground, the house has a simple horseshoe plan with a double volume living space in the centre illuminated by stepped-back clerestory windows. Internally and externally, the house is finished primarily in white plastered surfaces and timber to differentiate between the solid planar elements and the porous frames. The elegant simplicity and clarity of this house is characteristic of the best works in Woo’s oeuvre.
