We are a group of community members and experts who are concerned about the future of the Boiler House building located on the former APM site in Alphington Victoria. We believe passionately that this structure represents a significant remnant of Victoria’s architectural and industrial heritage and it should not be demolished to make way for more roads. However its significance has been ignored in current development plans for the site.
Funding is required to prepare a professionally researched submission to Heritage Victoria for consideration to be placed on the Victorian Heritage Register. This is the only step forward in securing the building’s future. And also to protect an asset that could be redeveloped as a remarkable venue for public and community use on the APM site.
We need to proceed with the nomination as soon as possible in January. So we would be really grateful for any financial support to present our case.
