Historic Houses Association visit to Sydney icon Sirius

Sirius is a 79-unit Brutalist apartment block built for public housing in The Rocks. It is under threat of demolition. At the heart of the campaign to save Sirius and its residents is a desire to celebrate the building and its people.

This visit will be one of the last opportunities to access the Sirius building in Sydney in its original fabric as it has recently been put on the market by the NSW government. The visit will be conducted by Tao Gofers, the architect of Sirius, and the Save our Sirius Foundation. This will be a rare opportunity to see the interior of the building. Thanks to Sirius’ last resident Myra Demetriou.
