On February 12th Director of Conservation at the National Trust of Australia (NSW), David Burdon remotely addressed the Gosford Council’s review panel into the future of the building, which is currently proposed for demolition. Burdon noted “The Gosford Library is a gem in Gosford and indeed in NSW – it’s a very unique building that certainly has many more years of service left in it.”

Along with the Institute of Architects (NSW), Docomomo Australia is advocating for Gosford Council to retain the former library and find a suitable new use for this high quality modernist building. You can lend your support here
