Walking Tour: Middle Cove

Sydney, March 4

Explore Middle Cove and discover how the architects designed their houses to interact with the landscape and bush with volunteer tour leader Ben Gerstel.

Middle Cove is a small peninsular bush suburb between Castlecrag and Castlecove located on the lower north shore of Sydney. On this two hour walk you will go back in time to see and hear about some of Sydney’s best domestic architecture from the 1950’s to today’s contemporary architecture which includes houses by architects Neville Gruzman, Bruce Rickard, Sydney Ancher and Arthur Baldwinson.

This most interesting walking tour starts at Harold Reid Reserve – a large national park.

Please arrive at the start point 5-10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time and wear comfortable walking shoes. Bring a hat and/or umbrella – tours operate regardless of weather.  Parking available on street.

Due to Covid-19, all participants will need to be fully vaccinated to attend the walk. If you are feeling unwell, please do not attend.
