Description
THE TRUST TALKS: The Debate – ‘It’s not a chip on your shoulder if they’re really out to get you’ – Queensland is unfairly underrepresented on Australia’s big heritage lists.
Where and When:
Friday 17 May, 5.00 to 7.30pm at the Commissariat Store, 115 William St, Brisbane City
SUMMARY
Queensland is one of the largest states in Australia and undoubtedly rich in environmental, built and cultural heritage – but is this heritage unrecognised? Do Australia’s big heritage lists unfairly forget about Queensland heritage in their focus on the southern states?
In this light hearted debate about a serious topic, we pitch three of Queensland’s leading heritage specialists against a visiting team of outsiders to decide – is QLD truly underrepresented? Or do they just have an inferiority complex?
