SUMMARY
Queensland is one of the largest states in Australia and undoubtedly rich in environmental, built and cultural heritage – but is this heritage unrecognised? Do Australia’s big heritage lists unfairly forget about Queensland heritage in their focus on the southern states?
In this light hearted debate about a serious topic, we pitch three of Queensland’s leading heritage specialists against a visiting team of outsiders to decide – is QLD truly underrepresented? Or do they just have an inferiority complex?

ABOUT THE VENUE
Commissariat Store – 115 William St, Brisbane City
The Commissariat Store began its life as a storehouse for the convict settlement of Brisbane and has also been the first immigration depot. Today it is home to the Commissariat Store Museum. Notably not included in the serial listing of Australian Convict Sites on the World Heritage Register, the Commissariat is the perfect location to debate if QLD’s places are underrepresented on our big heritage lists!
Access to the Commissariat has not been affected by the Queens Wharf development. Please access the Commissariat via its front entry on William Street.
