This Melbourne MicroCert is ideal for professionals from a range of sectors – including urban planning, construction, asset management and architecture – seeking a solid grounding in the urban and cultural heritage legal and policy environment, including heritage schemes and the key players in the field.

Examine local, state and national heritage laws
Gain accessible insights into key local, state and national heritage laws and policies you’ll encounter when collaborating with heritage specialists and managing change at heritage places. Examine statutory requirements from a Victorian perspective, while also exploring national and global contexts.
Understand heritage processes and schemes
Review state heritage nominations and permit processes. Consider local area heritage overlays and structure plans, as well as local and state heritage arbitration processes. Understand the development of Australian statutory heritage schemes in relationship to places, architecture, precincts and landscapes.
