Enjoy an exclusive guided tour by the outgoing custodians of the Moon House and its delightful garden, in Castlecrag.
The Moon House was designed by Walter Burley Griffin and built in 1922. Griffin’s partner Eric Nicholls and his family rented the house from 1937 and then bought it in 1943 adding a garage in 1949 and a second storey in 1951.
Learn about this unique house from the people who have enjoyed living in the Moon House for the last 45 years as they take you through the Griffin designed ground level and the Nicholls designed upper level and around the garden and neighbouring Griffin reserve and walkway.
The proceeds of this event will help fund the sculpture to honour Marion Mahony Griffin, commissioned by the WB Griffin Society.
