Forty years after his death, MAXXI (Rome) dedicates to Gio Ponti a great retrospective that studies and communicates his multifaceted activity, starting from the story of his architecture. Ranging from the design of everyday objects to the invention of spatial solutions for the modern houses and the creation of complex projects set in the urban context, such as the Pirelli skyscraper in Milan or the cathedral of Taranto, Ponti’s design is characterised by its confident passage from one scale to another scale.
