About this event

Description

Surely this is one of Sydney’s most picturesque suburbs, perched on a rocky peninsula surrounded by the sparkling waters of Middle harbour.  Castlecrag was recognised as a special place by Canberra’s designer Walter Burley Griffin and his partner Marion Mahony, way back in the 1920’s. They made a plan for Castlecrag to be developed as the perfect garden suburb, with small houses surrounded by trees and rocky outcrops.

Discover the many Griffin pathways winding down and through Castlecrag, leading to many architectural gems new, contemporary and heritage designed homes.

Your volunteer tour leader is Ben Gerstel, a local architect with many stories to tell.
