Patrick Hann has published an article for Architecture AU reporting that  Melbourne council dumps independent heritage study of mid-century modernist houses: Melbourne’s Bayside council has abandoned a project to survey one of Australia’s densest collections of mid-century modernist houses, due to “concerns of property owners.” Instead the council will adopt an opt-in system whereby the owners of the relevant properties will be able to self-nominate their properties for heritage controls. Read the full story on ArchitectureAU.com
